Grounded in research

Most pushup apps assume you can already do one.

A JAMA Network Open study tracked 1,104 active men for a decade and found that those who could do 40+ pushups had a 96% lower rate of cardiovascular events than those who could do fewer than 10 — one of the strongest simple fitness predictors researchers have found. Most people never build that capacity, because starting with a "real" pushup feels out of reach on day one. PushPact starts you at Wall, Incline, or Knee instead, using the same accessible-progression approach physical therapists rely on, and only raises the bar once your body is actually ready.

Start anywhere

Wall, Incline, Knee, or Standard pushups — pick where you're starting today. Every level counts as a real rep, so there's no threshold to clear before you're "allowed" to begin.

Adapts to you

Hit your target consistently and PushPact quietly raises it five reps at a time. Off days ease it back down. No manual math, no spreadsheets.

Pact with a friend

Pair with one other person by sharing an 8-character invite code — no account on either side — and see their streak, this week's reps, and this month's, broken down by level. Knowing someone can see whether you showed up is one of the most reliable ways to actually keep showing up.

Private by default

No sign-up, no tracking, no ads. Your data lives on your phone. The optional Pact feature shares your rep counts, streak, and level breakdown with the one partner you choose — nothing else leaves your device.

Why isn't this on Google Play?
PushPact is a solo-built v1, distributed directly instead of through a store review process. Direct install is a normal way to ship an early Android app — you're just skipping the middleman, not getting a lesser version.
Is it safe to install?
Android shows a one-time "install from unknown sources" prompt because this isn't from the Play Store — that's Android being cautious by default, not a warning about this app. Every APK build is scanned on VirusTotal, which checks it against 67 independent antivirus engines — 0 flag it. Google Play Protect also scans it automatically on install, the same as an app from the Play Store. PushPact asks for no permissions it doesn't use, and ships with no analytics or ad trackers.
